Why are we drawn to works that depict?  

In this time, why do we continue to make works that depict things?  

Is there still a need to work in a representational manner?

We are not all drawn to the same types of representational work.  

Some of us prefer Landscapes, some Still Lives, and others the human figure.

Not only that, but there is are endless ways of conveying them.

Why do are we so attracted to works that show us things? When we go somewhere to view art, we expect something from the work.  

It is either 1) to be entertained, 2) to be educated, or 3) to be affirmed.
